Nurse's Bizarre Blunder: Feviquik Used to Treat 7-Year-Old's Wound in Haveri

Haveri: A shocking incident has come to light in Haveri, Karnataka, where a nurse at the Adur Primary Health Center applied Feviquik, a strong adhesive, to treat a 7-year-old boy's cheek wound instead of stitching it.

The incident occurred on January 14 when Gurukishan, a 7-year-old boy, was taken to the health center by his parents after he injured his cheek while playing. Nurse Jyoti, who was on duty, applied Feviquik to the wound, allegedly to avoid leaving a scar.

When the parents questioned Nurse Jyoti about her unorthodox treatment method, she claimed that she had been using Feviquik for the past five years and that it was an effective way to treat wounds without leaving scars.

The parents, however, were not convinced and filed a complaint with the health center's safety committee, sparking an investigation into the incident.

This shocking incident raises serious concerns about the quality of medical care being provided at the Adur Primary Health Center and the competence of its staff.
